These terms apply to all services provided by Lucy Chalk trading as Hair by Lucy, a mobile hairdressing business based in Essex. By booking an appointment, you agree to these terms.

Appointments are confirmed by WhatsApp or email. A booking is only confirmed once Lucy has replied to confirm the date, time and service. Please do not assume an appointment is booked until you receive that confirmation.
For new colour clients, a patch test is required at least 48 hours before your first appointment. This is for your safety and is non-negotiable. Appointments cannot go ahead without a completed patch test.
We understand that plans change. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give as much notice as possible. Our policy is:
In the event that Lucy needs to cancel due to illness or an emergency, you will be contacted as soon as possible and offered a new date at no extra cost.
Payment is due on the day of your appointment. We accept cash and bank transfer (BACS). Please have payment ready before Lucy arrives, or transfer immediately after the service.
Prices quoted in advance are estimates. The final price may vary if the service changes on the day – for example if additional treatments are agreed during the appointment. Any variation will be discussed and agreed with you before work begins.

Hair by Lucy cannot be held responsible for results affected by undisclosed information about your hair history or health.
Hair by Lucy operates within a 30-minute radius of Billericay, covering Shenfield, Brentwood, Ingatestone and Chelmsford at no travel charge. Appointments further afield are available for full colour days and will incur a mileage charge agreed in advance.
If you are unhappy with your service, please contact Lucy directly within 48 hours. We take feedback seriously and will do our best to resolve any concerns, which may include a complimentary adjustment appointment where appropriate.
Hair by Lucy cannot accept liability for damage to property, clothing or soft furnishings that results from the client failing to follow reasonable precautions (for example, not using the towels provided during colour application).
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
These terms may be updated from time to time. The current version is always available at this address, and the date at the top reflects when they were last revised.
